Hi,
I'm trying to set up Chromecast Audio (CA) to use with an old speaker system. The problem is that the 3.5 cable jack that comes with it doesn't fit anywhere on the old unit (except the headphone socket but that's not going to work!) My Aux In sockets are bigger and need a red and white plug connection. Is there an adapter that I can use to connect the CA to my old set up?? The product in the link below looks right but I'm no techie and not sure if it's the right thing to connect to the CA.
Can you advise please? 🙂

Yes, you can do what you want. I have to do that with one of my systems.
You need a "3.5mm female to RCA male" adapter.
I picked one up for about $3 at my local hardware store.
It has a headphone plug at one end, then splits into the two connectors that you need. You plug the cable that came with your Chromecast Audio into that.
Chromecast audio -> yellow cable -> new adapter -> the Red and White ports on your stereo
Something like this:
3.5mm Female to RCA Male adapter on Amazon
The link you provided is close, but the wrong connectors. Yours are all reversed.

Thank you so much for your helpful reply. I'll pick one up at the weekend. Looking forward to getting some use for both the Chromecast and my old system. Thanks! 🙂
