My Wi-Fi is connected, everything seems to be OK

I’ve updated everything I have reset everything ,unplugged everything, I have factory reset everything   I’ve done everything three times with no joy

Can anyone help

The non responsive applications you have on your Google Chromecast with Google TV were installed directly from the PlayStore for Google TV or they were side loaded? What applications are we talking about?

Is Google Chromecast with Google TV connected directly to a TV HDMI port or via some HDMI witch?

Do you have any USB-C powered hub connected to Google Chromecast with Google TV? Are there any peripherals connected to the USB-C powered hub?

Have you tried to unplug the Google Chromecast with Google TV power adaptor from the main power grid for at least 25 seconds?

It may be a good idea to set your Google Chromecast with Google TV on manual update mode, to be able to see when system or application updates are available and to control yourself if and when to apply an update. That way you give yourself an opportunity and time to verify the effects of an update, before you decide to apply it.

Have you tried contacting Google Chromecast support team? What was their assessment?

I'm having the exact same issue. I've been trying to fix it to no avail for the last 2 days.

I should add that this issue started 2 days ago on my 1st generation Chromecast, which is why I upgraded to the Chromecast with remote. I notice there is an old 'Family Room TV' device still visible on my Google home app, but I cannot get rid of it. I wonder if it is causing this issue.

Thank you for your response.

The apps were downloaded when I set up Google TV. I cannot connect play video through the TV.

Google Chromecast with Google TV is connected directly to a TV HDMI port.

The Google Chromecast is connected to the power with the USB-C cable that came in the box.

I have tried unplugging the Chromecast for over 30s, several times.

I have also tried the Chromecast on another TV and am having the same issue. All streaming apps are playing video on my phone which leads me to believe the issue is related to Google Home. It cannot be the physical Chromecast device as I bought a new one and an having exactly the same issue on both.

I have contacted Google support who spent over an hour trying to resolve the issue without any luck. He said he would call me again today to further look into it.

Hey there!

We haven't heard back from Farpoint107 or Irvy, and it's been a few days, so I'm locking the thread. As always, feel free to make a new thread if you have any more questions or concerns.

Thank you for your help, djtetei!

Best regards,
Jeran
