Chromecast. Google TV

I installed this device last Friday Nothing but confusion ; problems and not getting what I request from ' Assistant '  Such as Cleveland , Ohio TV Stations for the morning LIve News not news clips from two summers ago!

I last tried this morning then right now NOTHING  as the screen states  ' No  Internet Connection '  Makes NO sense as at this moment I am using the iMAC.  

How do I get other than  ' you tube network '  

I had more than ample problems with ' r o k u ' and thought this item would be better.  ?

Ready to SEND it back to Best Buy.               HELP !   please!

That's not good! Just want to get a bit more information as I'm a little confused.  You posted this in the Chromecast second generation thread but I don't believe Best Buy still sells those units.  Can you confirm exactly which Chromecast you're using?  Also when it comes to live TV that's not something that's native to Chromecast it's meant for casting apps such as Netflix YouTube and more.  If it's showing no internet connection I'm wondering have you completed the initial setup to get it online?
