Chromecast Google tv

Hi there,

I need help resolving the wifi connection issue. My device lost the wifi. I tried everything but no success. Then i reset it to the factory default and upon setups i am stuck at the wifi connection. My wifi is ok and working with other devices but chrom says incorrect password. Now i am stuck at wifi connection.

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your device. Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: which Chromecast with Google TV device do you have, is it the 4K or HD? What's the firmware version? How far is the Chromecast from the Wi-Fi router?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Make sure the Chromecast device is within 15 to 20 feet of the setup device and the Wi-Fi router.
  2. Toggle Wi-Fi off and on from your mobile device.
  3. Forget the network from your mobile phone and reconnect.
  4. Reboot your Wi-Fi router.
  5. Reboot your Chromecast.
  6. Reboot your mobile phone.
  7. Manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.
  8. Factory reset your Chromecast again. Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.
