Chromecast Remote won't turn on Sony TV

I have a Chromecast with Google TV hooked up to my Sony Bravia XBR-65X850D. When I run through the remote set up on the first option it gives to set up the power button it turns the tv off and back on again using the remote. But once the TV has been off for awhile, it won't turn back on using the remote. Looking for ideas for a setting within the Chromecast/Remote or the TV itself that would fix this.

I'm sorry about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that powering on issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions:

• When did this issue start happening?
• Do you have the remote setup through CEC or IR?
• What is the firmware version of your Chromecast?
• What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

For now, I would recommend you check out this article on turning on and off the TV using Chromecast, it applies to both CEC and assistant issues, but it may help following the steps at the bottom of the article.
