I am trying to set up Chromecast.  I tried connecting straight to the TV and choosing the AV Receiver as the sound source.  Failure.  Device would not appear in Google Home, either.  I did some subsequent research.  Made a couple of posts on the Sony Forum.  It appears that if I want to enjoy both 4K Video and superior sound through my home theater system, I will have to connect the Chromecast to an HDMI port on the back of the AV Receiver.  I am anticipating I will have to hire a home theater tech to resolve all the bugs surrounding the Chromecast setup, including adding it to my Logitech Harmony Remote.  Basically, how does one set up the Chromecast using AV Receiver - which HDMI Input to use, which settings to select, successful WiFi connectivity, etc.  I watched a You Tube video on how to make the basic HDMI cable connection but am confused about whether it should be plugged into an HDMI 1 port on the back of the AV Receiver.  Right now, my TV, Antenna and Cable all run on HDMI 1.  Now, this might sound really confusing, but I am at a loss as to how to proceed with setting this up.  Something tells me the Chromecast should also be running on HDMI 1.  I will have to see what the ports look like on the back of the AV Receiver.  Anyway, if anyone can make heads or tails out of this message, it would be appreciated.  I have not heard back from Sony yet.  Something tells me I will not be able to get the device to show up on Google Home, either.  I wonder if I will have to to a reset on the Chromecast.  I had to wait about two hours for the system update to download when I initially installed it on the back of the TV.  I have unplugged the whole thing and put it back in the box for the time being.  So, that's it for the moment.  Thanks for listening.

Hey there Sharon,

I'm really sorry about the delayed response, I appreciate your patience! Were you able to your Chromecast set up with the TV and the receiver? Was Sony able to get back to you? If you are still confused on how to get everything set up, please let me know, and I'll help you out.

I look forward to your response, and if you had any other questions or concerns, please let me know!

Best regards,

Jeran
