Chromecast aspect ratio

I've recently purchased a chromecast & I need to know how to change the aspect ratio so I can fill the entire screen. I don't have Google tv but I do stream my cable. Any tips?

You can't change the aspect ratio on Chromecast Devices.

They use whatever ratio the sending service (Netflix, Google Movies, etc) tells them to use for that particular content.
