Has anyone else had an issue where the volume of the TV the Chromecast is plugged into goes to maximum? You can try and turn it down, but it simply turns itself back up again. I tried turning the mute on, but it immediately turned itself off.
I tried restarting the Chromecast but eventually unplugged both the Chromecast and TV. Left them unplugged for about half an hour but when plugged back in the volume went straight up to max again.
The only thing I have found to stop it is to turn off system sound within the Chromecast settings and pair a google home mini speaker via Bluetooth.
The TV in question is in my office so this setup in just OK. my issue is I have just purchased a second Chromecast for our main tv and cannot have this happening on that. (An no no one what using the remote for the second Chromecast)
Any ideas?

Check the CEC volume settings on your TV and in the chromecast settings.
