Chromecast device connection issue

I have been using my chromecast device since last 4 years without an issue. But sincee last week it doesnt connect my wifi. The connection process goes still last stage and then it displays ' CANNOT CONNECT TO CHROMECAST'. The device is updated

Sounds like the device may be stuck on an old wifi network.  Best bet is to quickly factory reset the Chromecast and start from scratch, that should get rid of the connection error for you!

I'm having the same problem. My chromecast doesn't connect to my new network. It appears to be stuck on old one and I don't know how to reset.

How can I factory reset my chromecast? I don't know what version it is. I believe it may be stuck on old network.
