I have google hub max and a vizio tv with a built in chromecast. Randomly, the chromecast icon appears and disappeares from the device on google home app, either the display or tv cast are not available. Sometimes rebooting the tv or the phone helps. Please advise!

Thanks for your reply, I went through the steps but the problem is not resolved. The chromecast icon shows up after restarting my phone, but this is not a sustainable solution to restart my phone every time.

Hey there Nika14,
No problem at all! I wouldn't want you to have to do that every time either. Make sure you're not using any kind of VPN or Proxy on your phone. Also make sure that you aren't using a battery-saving setting, as this would affect connection as well. Finally, When Use network information is off in your Android settings, Google Nest and Home speakers or displays (and Chromecast) might not appear on the list of available Cast devices. To discover Cast-enabled devices, open your Android's Settings and then enable Use network information.
