Chromecast no longer working since power outage

Had a power outage now no longer even picks up the chromecast and when I change the tv to hdmi1 which it is plugged into it just keeps making a repeated sound every 3 or so seconds. No picture. Have tried to reset it I even did factory reset on my tv but nothing working

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Let's sort this out.

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the LED status on your Chromecast? How is the Chromecast receiving power? Did you use a power cable or USB port?

Give these steps a try:

1. Make sure the power outlet that you're using to plug in your Chromecast is functional. Try to plug your phone into the outlet and check if it charges.
2. Make sure the Chromecast is plugged directly and snugly into a power outlet (not a surge protector).
3. Plug it in on a different power outlet.
4. Check if the power adapter isn't damaged.
5. Use the power cord that came in the box with the Chromecast device.
6. Try to plug it in on a different TV screen if one is available.
