Chromecast not accepting password

Hi Everyone,

I tried numerous times to connect the Chromecast to the TV using via wifi password it's showing incorrect. but I have updated the correct password. what will be the solution?

Thanks for reaching out. Let's check on this further.

 

Quick questions: Is this an initial setup, or your Chromecast is previously connected to your network? What type of Chromecast device do you have? 

 

Try these steps:

 

  1. Check if other devices (smartphones, tablets, computers, etc.) are able to connect to your current wireless network.
  2. Check the box for Show Password under the password box. This step allows you to check exactly what you are typing, so you can be sure it's correct as opposed to only getting black dots after you input the characters.
  3. Reboot your Chromecast.
  4. Reboot your router.
  5. Factory reset your Chromecast.
