I factory reset my chromecast and i’m trying to set it up again. However when I try to commence setup, my google home app won’t recognize that there’s a chromecast nearby unless i go to my phone’s wifi settings, disconnect from my wifi, and connect to a network titled “chromecast6951”. When I connect to that network, it lets me go through the process of setting up the chromecast like normal, but then when I get to the part where I need to set up the wifi connection, it won’t let me connect the chromecast to my home wifi because i’m still under the “chromecast” network and says i need to be under the same wifi as the chromecast. When i try to change back over to my actual wifi network, the app either closes everything out or freezes because it can’t recognize the chromecast anymore.

Hi bud, this link explains what to do. For those still using 1st Gen Chromecast and getting a 'No Device Found' error, I managed to find so...
Read the main paragraph and you can set up your Chromecast once more.
