Chromecast problem

Hello hello,

I'm having some difficulties : every time my wife's smarthpone is nearby it looks like my chromecast device dissappears in my Google Home app, so I can't cast with my smartphone. We both have a Samsung Galaxy smartphone with Google Home on it and we have a Google Chromecast 1st generation plugged in our television. 

I already tried a full reset of the chromecast, a full reset of my router and a full reset of my smartphone. Nothing helps, except when my wife's smartphone is further away than mine.

Does anyone knows what the problem can be ?

Hi Bojangles,

 

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. When did it start happening? Could you check if the hotspot and tethering on your wife’s phone is turned on? If so, turn it off and see if it happens again. Also, could you tell us how you reset your Chromecast?
