Chromecast qont communicate on the last step

So I'm setting up a new chromecast and everything is running smoothly until the final step - the WiFi. It refuses to connect and keeps saying "unable to communicate with your chromecast". There's no advice at all on how to solve this. I've restarted the chromecast, restarted the WiFi and nothing is happening.

Can you factory reset the Chromecast and start fresh? Press and hold the button for 15 seconds or so.  Sometimes a "bad" network connection will get stuck.

Honk120, hope that helps., but if you're still having trouble setting up your Chromecast, please manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
