Chromecast remote lost connection

Hi. My Chromecast with Google TV has been working fine for months. All of a sudden, the remote no longer appears to connect to the Chromecast. Nothing happens regardless of which button I press. I've tried turning the Chromecast off and then on - the remote still doesn't connect. I can control the Chromecast with the remote app on my Pixel phone.

 

How do I get the remote to reconnect and control the Chromecast?

I am sorry about the late response, thank you for your patience on this! Were you able to fix that Chromecast Voice Remote issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know I'd be disappointed if I couldn't use half of the new Chromecast device! Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • What is the firmware version of the Chromecast and Chromecast Voice Remote?
  • What color is the LED light on the Chromecast Voice Remote?
  • Are you using AAA 1.5 V alkaline batteries?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
