Chromecast remote

Hello my current issue with my remote is when i go to switch the input its flashes the input options on my tv then reselects the the input it is currently set to negating me from switching between my Chromecast and my Xbox and this is a big issue for me because this Chromecast remote i got with my Chromecast is the first remote i've had in years that works with my tv and its making me very frustrated especial because it worked fine for a week and now isn't if there are any suggestions please let me know

I can totally understand why this situation would be frustrating; I know I'd be annoyed as well, so I'd be happy to help you figure it out. Go ahead and give these steps a try:

1. Forget the Chromecast Voice Remote. Go to  Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Chromecast Remote > Forget.
2. Pair the remote. Go to  Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Pair remote or accessory and follow the instructions on the TV.
   Note: If applicable, you may also press the button on the Chromecast device for 1 second for the pairing to start.
3. Replace the batteries in the Chromecast Voice Remote.
4. If the steps above don't work, perform a factory reset on your Chromecast Voice Remote again and your Chromecast dongle.
