I’ve set up my Chromecast and it’s working fine but I cannot access all desired content as it has set up as UK device despite me being in Australia.
I’ve set the correct location in Australia on the device but my Google account was originally created in the UK.
How can I make it set as Australian so I can access the Australian terrestrial content that my kids love?

Hi Scruby,
You'll need to change the country for the Google Play store as this is where the apps are installed from.

I’ve changed the country on Google Play as recommended but it has not made a difference. I read it could take a couple of days to filter through but it’s been 4 days now.
any suggestions?

Thanks for getting back to us. Please reboot your Chromecast and try again. If the issue persists, factory reset your Chromecast.

It didn’t work. I’ve restarted and returned to factory settings but Australian apps are still blocked.

Yikes! Could you try to use a different Google Account to set up your Chromecast with Google TV and test if the same issue persists?

Thanks for your help. I gave up in the end and just created a new Google account specifically for using the Chromecast. I’d hoped to fix it but there didn’t seem to be a solution.
