While using my chromecast to have TV on in the background, it will time out after a few hours and randomly stop casting mid-movie. Is there a setting somewhere to stop this?

A few questions — when did the issue start? How long does it take before it stops casting? Did the video buffer or pixelate before it stopped casting?
