Chromecast w/ Google TV not finding wifi networks

Trying to connect my Chromecast to wifi but the device is not seeing any wifi networks. I've tried manual setup and the auto-setup via the app but both fail to find wifi. My home wifi is setup with TP-Link Deco AX3000 in Wifi router mode. Both 2.4 and 5 Ghz are turned on.

In manual mode when I get to "Select your Wifi network" there are no networks listed at all which normally would show neighbors connections, but the list is blank.

Any suggestions on how to get this thing connected?

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. Please try the steps below:

 

  1. Check if the Chromecast device is on the same Wi-Fi network as the customer’s phone or tablet.
  2. Check if the Chromecast device is within 15 to 20 feet of the setup device and the Wi-Fi router.
  3. Connect other devices to the Wi-Fi network. If other devices can't connect to the Wi-Fi network, it's most likely a router issue and not a Chromecast issue. Switch to a working router or purchase a new one.
  4. Connect to a different network or mobile hotspot.
  5. Check if the router has a hidden network name or SSID.
  6. Force close the Google Home app.
  7. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
  8. Reboot the Chromecast device
  9. Reboot the setup device (phone or tablet).
  10. Reboot the router.
  11. Use a different wireless device (phone or tablet) to set up the Chromecast device.
