At the office, the wifi does not have a password, but an authentication code has to be entered on an intranet webpage, the first time a connection is made. (this is one of those co-working type buildings.)
When I connect the Chromecast, it connects to the wifi network but then cannot connect to the internet. I do not have a way of entering the authentication code, so I get the error "Cannot reach internet".
Any ideas for solutions?
I know I can create a hotspot on my device, and then have the Chromecast connect to that, but then this presents an issue for others while I am out of the room.
I tried setting up from my iPhone13, and directly from the device using the remote.

Hi @hughmagen
Maybe visiting the Chrome browser on your Google TV let's you generate the code?

I don't see a way to get to the Chrome browser without completing the Network selection step.

You will probably need another step in there; like you are doing with your phone.
But, instead, get a Travel Router. They are small and very innexpensive. You connect that Travel Router to your network (many can go WiFi-to-WiFi and don't need cables) and then connect your Chromecast and devices to that router's network which will be the standard SSID/Password combo.
There are some big benefits to this. You can easily show anyone how to do this for when you aren't around and that setup travels well. I've done this with hotels; I set my phone, tablet, laptop, and Chromecast all to talk to my Travel Router then when I go from hotel to hotel I just have to connect my router to their network and all my other devices are instantly connected through the travel router's network.
Also, this kind of network is more secure for your devices and Chromecast. Your Chromecast is probably showing up on your co-working space's network so ANYONE in the office can accidentally cast to it. But, your travel router's network is private so nobody sees your devices.

This sounds like a good pathway. I am still in the process of trying. ordered a travel router and will provide an update once I give it a try.
Thanks!
