Chromecast will not work from any device - but worked 2 days ago

I have chromecast set up - it worked 3 days ago - and now on the video I want to cast I don't have the cast button (on any app).    I do have a folder of google Photes  still rolling through from my phone - but I cannot get it to cast from the video on any device.  

This has happened before - can't understand why it just doesn't work sometimes - but yet can still display the photos on my TV.

I've spent hours trying to get it to work and it is just frustrating.

Anyone else have this issue - or can walk me through what to do.  Wish there was someone I could talk to on the phone to walk me through it.

I apologize about the late response, thank you for your patience! Were you able to fix that connection issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I can imagine this issue is pretty frustrating. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • What color is the LED light on your Chromecast?
  • Are you able to cast from any device, such as a computer or tablet?
  • Have you already followed the steps in this article?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

Also, here is the how to get a hold of Chromecast support, you'll just need to get through the prompts, and it will give you the option to talk with them via phone call or online chat.
