Chromecast with Google TV 4k bricked after the update during initial setup.

Hi,

My ChromeCast with google TV 4K stopped working after firmware update during initial setup.

The TV shows color "G" logo then reboot itself, the light indicator on Chromecast flashes with orange light and it doesn't respond with click/hold on reset button.

 

Anyway to re-flash the firmware? Can anyone help?

That's no good to hear! I can imagine this situation is pretty frustrating, so I'd be happy to help you out. The first thing to try is a factory reset on the Chromecast. However, if that doesn't help, you'll need to speak with Chromecast Support. If that's the case, would you please fill out this form to have Chromecast Support reach out to you via email? Just let me know when you have done so.
