Chromecast with Google TV app opens 8 of my 10 apps. Disney+ and Prime Video will not open

Chromecast with Google TV app opens 8 of my 10 apps. Disney+ and Prime Video will not open, however will work if I stream it from my iPhone or my iPad.  This has been going on since last year!  

Also attempted to download the system update as of May 2022.  It downloads, however ends by saying "failed".

Hi, try to reset device and configure again. I use it since the last update with no problem in case of Disney+ and Prime Video.

Just to add to this, it's possible the storage space is full, and causing the update to fail.  Can you check to see available storage space, clear any cache to free up space, and as a final option as robus mentioned, preform a factory reset to see if that clears up the issue?

So frustrated, Jeran!  I've unplugged, uninstalled, clear caches, installed and still to no avail with Disney+ or Prime Video.  The other 8 apps work well.

Also I tried to update the Chromecast with Google TV system.  It's response is unsuccessful, try again.

Does it sound like my Chromecast with Google TV is defective?  And if so, who would I contact?

Can you answer my question from earlier..as it sounds like you may be out of space on your device.  Can you see how much free space is available on the device? And have you tried a factory reset?

Paradox.

I tried to help Ashepherdson and today I have the same problem. Disney+ and Prime Video doesn't work.

Still have some memory free.

Restart - doesn't help.

Netflix and HBO max work fine.

KODI works fine too.

Ehh, things are not easy in case of Chromecast and in general with today’s electronic equipment. A lot of dependences, standards and so on.

Dysney+ and Prime Video works again. I did some restarts of Chromecast, Tv, Amplituner. I closed these apps in my all devices (PC, tablet…). Checked my Internet speed. Cleaned cache memory in Chromecast. Finally, suddenly everything came back to normal work on Chromecast. I don’t kwow what caused the problem and what helped with it.

There may be some reasons: lack of Chromecast memory, problems with Internet connectivity, instability in Chromecast’s work, To many simultaneous connetions to the specific service (VOD). 
As long as the Google support listens to the customers voice, there is a possibility to make Chromecast device better.

For sure it has limitations. The less apps installed, the better.

I have contacted, Samsung/TV, Disney and Prime Video.  They all instructed me to unplug the tv and remote.  And even turn off my router!  To no avail!

I am able to stream Disney and Prime on my TV with my iphone or ipad.

My other tv's that have Disney and Prime included with the tv works fine.

I feel my remote is defective.
