Not a questions but a fix to the problem I've been having for the past 3 months.

The problem:
Some apps look like their edges are cut off.

Solution:
Unplug the Chromecast and plug another device (PC, Laptop, etc.) into the same HDMI port. Make sure it works (displays a signal). Now open the picture settings and choose format '16:9 PC'. Press 'OK'. You can now unplug your device, plug the Chromecast back in and have fun using it!

Explanation:
What you're experiencing is called 'overscan'. It was used with older TVs to include additional information in the outer border of the image and prevent burn-in by moving it by tiny amounts. This is the behaviour of the '16:9 TV' format, which happens to be the default. If you wanted to switch without plugging in another device, the Chromecast would capture your remote's inputs (via CEC presumably) and never let you get to the settings. If you just unplugged it, you wouldn't be able to access the settings either. That's why you have to use the 'dummy' device.

Hope this helps some of y'all with Loewe TVs. If you found this useful, please upvote this thread so other people with the same issue can find it easier.
