Chromecast with Google TV won't connect to wifi or ethernet w/ AT&T Fiber BGW320-500

I recently moved and now have AT&T Fiber, however my Chromecast w/ Google TV cannot connect to the wifi - 5g or 2.4g.

- I ordered the ethernet AC adapter in hopes that it would solve the issue to no avail.

- I connected a laptop to the same ethernet cable = 950mbps+

- Everything else in my home works perfectly but the Google TV, so I bought a second one (thinking the latter was defective) and the problems persist.

- I have 8 Google speakers in the home that work perfectly

I honestly don't know what to do as I have tried every trick on the internet.... any help is greatly appreciated!!

Hey there Jonas1,

I apologize about the late response on this, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that connection issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I understand how finicky the connection can be at times. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • Do you have AP isolation on the router disabled?
  • Do you have Multicast, Universal Plug and Play (UPnP), and Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) enabled?
  • Do you have an VPN enabled?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
