I am trying to connect a new Chromecast to my Toshiba TV via my Pionner (VSX-520-K) AVR, but with get no video on my TV. I have 3 HDMI input on the AVR and have tried all 3.
Connecting the device directly to the TV works fine.
I tried power cycling the Chromecast device after connecting it to the AVR and noticed that the Google Logo does come up for a few seconds and then a blank screen with 'No Signal' message from the TV.
Any help troubleshooting and getting this thing to work will be helpful

Hi Vibhav,
Thanks for reaching out. If you are getting a "No signal" message when setting up the Chromecast on your Pioneer AVR, you may follow the steps listed on this support website article. Also, if it does work when connecting your Chromecast directly to your TV, please reach out to your AVR's manufacturer for additional help.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer & Jeran
I manged to solve the problem.
I noticed that the Chromecast when connected to the AVR would display the Google logo on power up and then disappear. After which there would be no video from the AVR. I connected the Chromecast directly to the TV and changed the settings to 1080p.
Connecting the Chromecast back to the AVR after got the video to start working again.
It so happens that the Chromecast post bootup uses 4K for video and the AVR can handle only 1080p.
Hope this helps anyone else in the future who wants to use the Chromecast on old equipment.
Cheers
AF
