Chromecast

I have completed set up of my chromecast but it is not playing the videos as it is showing offline to set up i made.

Hi Navjinder,

 

Thanks for reaching. Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: What's the LED light status in your Chromecast? How far is it from the Wi-Fi router? Does it show as offline in the Google Home app or on your TV screen?
 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Check if the Chromecast device is on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone or tablet.
  2. If you have a dual band router, check if you're connected to the correct network connection (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz).
  3. Connect other devices to the Wi-Fi network to make sure the network is up and running.
  4. Force close the Google Home app and reopen.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
  6. Reboot the Chromecast device, mobile device, and Wi-Fi router.
  7. Use a different mobile phone.
  8. Factory reset your Chromecast.
