I have 5 TVs and I would like to stick a Chromecast in each of them and control it from one device, I may use the same app to play the same show show on various devices at the same time I'm or a completely different show on each device at the same time?

Hey there Gordon_Ross,
I'm afraid to say that the limitation is with the Chromecast device itself. As far as I am aware, there is no way to split casting across multiple Chromecast devices, and that includes stronger casting devices such as a Chromebook.
I hope that answers your question.

Jeran

You can only cast to one Chromecast from the same phone.
There is no feature or setting to cast to multiple Chromecast from the same phone.

If I had a Chromecast in each TV and chose one Chromecast to cast to, would it not let cast to another? Would it interrupted the other cast?

Hiya Gordon_Ross,
If you had multiple Chromecast devices, you could choose one to cast to, but if you are already casting from that device, such as your phone, it would change to the second Chromecast, and interrupt the cast from the first Chromecast. Each casting device can only cast to one Chromecast at a time. However, if you had multiple phones, each phone could cast to a different Chromecast.
I hope that makes sense!

Jeran

Would each device need its own account or can I use same account, also is there a way at all this can be done with one device ask 5 phone would expensive, would a Chromebook make a difference?
08-25-2022 11:17 AM
Hey there Gordon_Ross,
You only need to have 1 Google Account, then you can add as many Chromecast devices to your Google Home app. So, if you had 5 Chromecast devices, you could all them all to the same household in the Google Home app. You can also cast from the Chromebook as well, as you can cast from iOS, Android, and most devices Google Chrome.
Let me know if you had any more questions!
Best regards,
Jeran

So if I have 5 TVs, 5 Chromecast and 5 devices they could all be used simultaneously under 1 account or does each device need its own account?

Hey there Gordon_Ross,
Yes, you could use all of them under 1 Google account! Check out this article on setting up your household in the Google Home app.
I hope that helps!

Guess this is my final question, This is for a business centre and we have 5 TVs dotted around the call centre, with the world cup not to far around the corner, the plan was to seamlessly cast to multiple TVs using different channels on one device, as 5 different devices would be costly and not user friendly for every manager, I know we spoke about a mobile not being able to do this but could maybe something with more power like a Chromebook do it?
