Hello everyone,
I have connected a Chromecast with Google TV on my TV and I have created a device team including the Chromecast with Google TV and two Google Nest Mini speakers.
When I play YouTube, Spotify etc. from the Chromecast menu, the sound is produced by the TVs speakers, even if I choose the device team mentioned above as the sound reproduction source. Is it possible to play videos on the TV and play the sound from the Nest Minis or I am trying something that is not supported yet?
Thank you in advance.

The issue I usually have with this is that the video and the audio are not in sync. I was hoping they would fix this so that I can make a surround sound with the Google speakers.

Thanks for your reply. How do you make the sound to be reproduced from the connected nest minis?

Audio Groups only work for music-only services (like Spotify and YouTube Music). They do not work for video.
Chromecast with Google TV does have a work-around (partially). It can push sound to ONE Bluetooth device at a time (so, only one of your Minis).
You have to put your Mini into Bluetooth Mode:

Then, pair that Mini with your Chromecast with Google TV:
