Controlling CCGTV AND old Samsung TV AND soundbar power with remote's POWER button

I connected my CCGTV with my 2012 Samsung via HDMI, set up remote (via Settings/Remote and accessories/Setup Remote buttons)  and I can turn both on or off by pressing once the power button of the CCGTV remote.

But when I connected a soundbar (Crystal Audio) to my TV via optical (no HDMI connection in soundbar), and set up (via Settings/Remote and accessories/Setup Remote buttons) the soundbar (using profile "Creative, which proved? compatible in power, sound and source), I am not able to turn on or off all the devices with the CCGTV remote's POWER button. When I try to turn off the system using CCGTV's Power button, only the soundbar turns OFF. TV remains On, CCGTV streaming pauses. Subsequent press of power button only turns on Soundbar.

Any idea on how can I turn ON or OFF the 3 devices by pressing the  CCGTV's power button?

Thank you!

Your TV may be too old to support HDMI - CEC, but you might read up on it here: https://www.howtogeek.com/207186/how-to-enable-hdmi-cec-on-your-tv-and-why-you-should/

Thank you for your suggestions. My TV has hdmi-cec, enabled, and by the use of this mechanism I guess that turning on the ccgtv turns automatically on the TV (when I have not setup the soundbar). However the soundbar is connected with the optical interface (no hdmi). What I would like to happen is that, when I press power button on ccgtv, the signal to be transmitted by Bluetooth connection in guess) to ccgtv which would turn on on dongle and by hdmi CEC the TV, and also to be transmitted to the soundbar's IR receiver to turn it on at the same time. Currently, when soundbar is connected, it seems that only the IR is transmitted to the soundbar.

Unfortunately, you can't control power to a device with a digital optical cable, so I'm not sure how your ccgtv remote will be able to control it.  You can either get an updated soundbar that has an HDMI port or you can get yourself a smart remote like a Logitech Harmony (which unfortunately are no longer being produced by Logitech, but can still be found) and program an activity that automatically turns on all the correct devices for you and sets the correct inputs.

Actually there is no reply solving my problem yet. And myself failed to find a technically acceptable solution, so everytime I turn on Ccgtv (via remote), and my TV opens automatically via CEC I have to turn on manually the soundbar. 10 more steps in my daily routine, rather a good thing. Feel free to lock this thread. Thank you

Hey there lkats,

Just out of curiosity, do you have the Google TV app on your smartphone? If so, try using the Virtual Remote and see if the same interaction occurs, or if that resolves the issue. That way, we can rule out a couple of possible factors.

I look forward to your response, and if you had any other questions, please let us know.

Best regards,

Jeran
