Hi FoxmulderTR,
Thanks for posting. Let's check on this further.
Quick questions: is this only happening with Disney+ app or across all apps? Is the video playing problem-free on the phone when not casting? Please check for pending software updates on your phone and reboot your mobile device. Using a different mobile phone and resetting your Chromecast might also help.
Note: If the issue only occurs with the Disney+ app, please reach out to the app developer for additional help.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi @JenniferV,
I am having the same issue when using voice commands. I get the error every time I request content the first time.

Hi folks,
FoxmulderTR, how's it going? Did those steps help?
jy12, is this only happening when casting videos from the Disney+ app via voice command? What message are you getting? Have you tried the suggested steps above?
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hi @Jeran,
I tried everything. I still get the error the first time I request content using Chromecast Gen 3 via Google Assistant. Then after a few seconds, a Disney+ backdrop appears. It loads weirdly, not smoothly at all. Then I can usually request it again.

Hi jy12,
Thanks for getting back to us. Could you please tell us what type of Google Assistant device you have? What message are you getting? Have you tried to manually cast from the Disney+ app from your phone and check if the same issue persists? In the meantime, please try to reboot your Google Assistant device and try to cast a video content from other Chromecast-supported app via voice command. Rebooting your Wi-Fi router might also help.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I have a Google Home Mini. I get an error code 83 and sdk problem message when I try to cast Disney+ from any device - Mini, PC, or phone.

Hey there,
Thanks for the info. If it doesn't work with multiple devices and the issue is isolated with Disney+ app, I'd suggest you reach out to Disney+ for additional help.
Thanks,
Jennifer

I do. It's an unrelated Disney+ error for which I was about to start a new thread. Should I post here instead?

Hello jy12,
I would suggest that you create a new thread for your new topic or issue so this will not cause any confusion on the troubleshooting part.
Thanks,
Jennifer
