Up until yesterday, all my Chromecast Audio devices were working normally. I installed a new wireless access point in my home yesterday with 5GHz capabilities (old Ubiquiti unit was only 2.4GHz) and for a fresh start I decided to factory reset all my Chromecast Audio devices.
Initially, I didn't encounter any issues -- I can cast to each device just fine. However, the settings page for every device is now broken -- it's completely blank. I am unable to perform any tasks under the settings page (gear icon).
Curiously, the lone Chromecast Audio that I did NOT reset (it wasn't being used) still has a functioning settings page & still works fine with the most up to date version of the Google Home app.
Could this be Google just being it's normal douchey self?
Has anyone else also experienced this & have you found a fix?

Easy fix is to uninstall the Home app and install an older version. I went to apkmirror & downloaded a version from mid, 2020. Once the older version is installed your Chromecast Audio should be working fine. You can update the Home app & the Chromecast Audio will still work fine but just with the new Settings page look.
If you add new devices & see the same problem simply uninstall the Home app & reinstall the older version that you originally downloaded then you can update it.

Thanks!
Just did this and it worked a treat 😉
Wend for a 2020 version, then was able to update the settings I needed.
I updated the home app again and sure enough settings for the chromecast audio all disappeared again ;-(, hopefully its fixed in a future release (although now have a work around).
Thanks again, your a legend!

Hey there!
It looks like motorambler was able to fix their issue, so I'm locking the thread. As always, feel free to make a new thread if you have any more questions or concerns.
Have a good one!
Best regards,
