Hi all, I just brought a brand new chromecast with remote. I've updated to latest software on chrome cast, and uninstalled/re-installed the iPhone App. Yet I still get the error when I select my device...
Full remote unavailable. make sure you streaming device has the latest software.
Any suggestions how to resolve?

Quick question: What is the LED light status in your Chromecast and Chromecast Voice Remote? Where are you getting this message, is it in the Google Home app or in your TV screen? Please reboot your Chromecast and Chromecast Voice Remote. If the issue persists, factory reset your Chromecast and Chromecast Voice Remote.

Hi, I have a feeling that the reason was the Gboard app and Co. needing time to update to the latest version on the newly installed Chromecast, as it has resolved on its own eventually 🤷🏻♂️

I have checked for updates on the chrome cast and it is up to date, and the Google Home app I uninstalled and reinstalled on my phone.
funnily enough, I just checked and had an option to pair the remote. This is not something I had ever had before . That’s working now, thanks.
