Hello all.
Have a first Gen Chromecast in the TV in the bedroom. Recently changed our BT Homehub as the old one was giving issues. Have come to change the Chromecast in the bedroom TV to the new network and I'm having issues.
I go through the set up in Google Home and it gets to a point where it says I have to use the Device Utility app.
Not an issue. Go through the steps on the app, and I can connect to the Chromecast via it's Wi-fi.
The app then tries to connect to the Chromecast but fails to connect.
I have tried multiple time, and I have also reset the Chromecast by holding the button for 25s until the LED is a solid red, but the device utility app will still not connect to it. The set up screen appears ok on the TV itself
Any ideas please, or is it goosed?!
Thanks

Looks like is an issue related to Pixel Phones/Wi-fi...

Used my S8 Ultra Tablet, set it up perfectly first time.
Very odd indeed that a Google device can't set it up, yet a non Google device xan

Hi Ben_W77,
Thanks for updating this Community thread and glad to hear that this has been sorted out.
Because of an interruption caused by Sonos, a small number of you using Pixel phones in the US may be unable to set up devices at this time. You can see this information from the blog posted by one of our Community Managers.
Let me know if you have other questions and concerns otherwise, I'll be locking this thread after 24 hours.
Best,
Jennifer

Hello Ben_W77,
Understood. I'd suggest you send feedback about this using the Google Home app. Every bit of feedback helps a ton in improving our devices and processes. Here's how.
