My Chromecast wasn't casting from any of my apps, so I did a factory reset. Now I'm trying to set it up on the Google Home App but when it looks for devices nothing happens, it goes through the motions of searching then goes back to the What are you setting up? page. Is there something that I am missing in the setup process after the factory reset? Or is it time to invest in a newer Chromecast?

Premixem, I'm sorry to hear that you're also experiencing the same issue with your Chromecast. Please try to manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone’s Settings > Open WiFi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
