Google Assistant Settings Missing From Child Profile in Family Link

Help please. I added kids accounts via Chromecast For Google TV and I now want the Google Hub Max to be able to recognise their voice and face so they can make video calls etc. The problem is the Family Link app for each child's profile is missing Google Assistant settings. The instructions state to go into Manage Settings and then Google Assistant and then Add your child to new devices. There is no Google Assistant listed.

Thank you. I have been meaning to update this thread. I did manage to get Google Assistance settings for my kids accounts by deleting the accounts that Chromecast with Google TV had created for them from Google TV and the Family Link App. I then created new account for them from within the Family Link App, giving them a Gmail address. This game me the Google Assistant setting and other for the kids accounts. I then went back to the Chromecast with Google TV and it automatically brought up the kids account which I then added.

Because I now had the Google Assistant settings in the Family Link app, I was able to add the face and voice match for them. There is one problem remaining though. I am still unable to get Google Duo on the Google Hun match working for them.

I installed Google Duo on their iPads and was able to log in one of the kids using their new Gmail address but this didn't work for the other kid. What's more is the kids that I was able to log into Google Duo with was still unable to use Google Duo on the Google Hub Max. I have given up for now.

I am glad to hear you were able to get your kids linked to your family account. I am sorry to hear you are still having trouble with the Google Duo, though. Thank you, I read the your linked article but was unable to find anything to assist me in getting the kids accounts up and running using Google Duo on the Smart Display's. I did read through the steps and ensured that I had those steps completed in my own account which I did. I will have a search for more information in relation to Google Duo and Kids account particularly for Duo on the Google Hub Max.

I haven’t had a chance to look at the latest article yet as I’m away this week. I don’t think it’s wise to shut it down when the issue hasn’t been resolved and other people may benefit from resolving these issues.

I'm really sorry you've been experiencing this issue. If you don't mind, would you be able to submit feedback via the Google Home app to let Google know? That way, if there is something wrong with the app, the engineering team can look into it.
