Google Chromecast Stuck On Logo

Hey there. Was browsing tv shows on my Chromecast when the screen suddenly cut to black and the Chromecast became unresponsive. The reset button didn't do anything, and no matter how long the button was pressed it didn't initiate the reboot cycle, all the while the light remained solid white. I've tried many troubleshooting steps, including unplugging everything and leaving the chromecast for 24 hours. 

It looks like there have been many similar posts here about the same issue in the last few months. What can I do to rectify this issue?

Are you using the original power supply and adapter that it came with? What brand and model of TV do you have?

Try these steps:

  1. Shut down the TV completely by turning off and disconnecting the power cord from the power source.
  2. Disconnect the Chromecast from the HDMI port. If the Chromecast is plugged into the power source, disconnect it.
  3. Turn on the TV, then reconnect the power source to the Chromecast device. Don't plug the Chromecast into the TV HDMI port yet.
  4. Wait for 30 seconds.
  5. Plug the Chromecast device into an HDMI port on the TV.
  6. Change the TV to the same HDMI input as the Chromecast.
  7. If there are multiple ports available on the TV, try steps 1-6 with a different HDMI port.

Do you happen to have another TV? If so, does it do the same thing with that TV?
