Hi

Thank you for your reply. I am giving up trying to connect my blackview S8 to my Panasonic smart HD TV using Google Chrmecast. It says on many forums that i dont need WiFi as i can sign in as a guest.

Tried everything with not even a hint of success so taking chromecast back to shop .

So much for modern technology making life easier.

Hi again,

The minimum requirements for using the Google Home app are Android 8.0 and above or iOS 14.0 and above.

A Chromecast device will always need a WiFi internet connection to work, guest mode allows devices not connected with the same WiFi network as the Chromecast to communicate.
