Google TV HD is unresponsive at boot

My chromecast with Google TV (HD) doesn't load. It's stuck at the Google logo. I tried:

- restarting after leaving the device unplugged for hours
- Hard reset. The light on the unit turns white, but still unresponsive at the same point in the boot process
- different HDMI ports, different TV

Are there any other procedures I can try?
