I tried changing the batteries. Unplugging the device, both at the socket and by pulling it out of the TV. Any ideas please?

Hi helpmeplease,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Chromecast Voice Remote. Please try the additional steps listed below:

  1. Download the Google TV app or Google Home app on your phone (You should be able to pair it with the Chromecast device).
  2. Once done, using your phone to navigate, check for pending remote software updates. Go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Remote update > Continue. The remote may briefly disconnect during the software update.
  3. Forget the Chromecast Voice Remote. Go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Chromecast Remote > Forget.
  4. Pair the remote. Go to  Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Pair remote or accessory and follow the instructions on the TV.
Note: If applicable, you may also press the button on the Chromecast device for 1 second for the pairing to start.
  5. If the steps above don't work, perform a factory reset on your Chromecast Voice Remote and Chromecast dongle.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Jennifer

I couldn’t do it. The white remote is still flashing and so now I have no tv.

Hey there helpmeplease,

No problem, we can keep looking into this. You mentioned that the LED light is pulsing and not responding.  This indicates that the remote is ready to pair, or that an attempted pairing was unsuccessful. Have you already attempted to factory reset the remote? What is the firmware version of the Chromecast? Are you able to use the virtual remote in the meantime?

I look forward to your response, and if you had any other question, please let us know.

Best regards,

Jeran
