Google TV voice remote once controlled TV

For over a year, the Chromecast Voice Remote controlled our Vizio TV. I think our dog stepped on the remote and since then I had to re-pair it to the Chromecast. The TV functions came and went, and now they're gone. Trying to set up the TV control has me toggling the volume buttons for an inordinate amount of time.

We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you're still having trouble, please change the batteries in your Chromecast Voice remote. Resetting your Chromecast Voice Remote and Chromecast device might also help.
