Google TV with Chromecast can't connect to Bauhn ATV60UHD-0918

Hi,

Just tried upgrading from a Chromecast Ultra to Google TV 4K - was looking forward to the single remote. The TV manufacturer is not listed as a supported manufactturer but there's LOTs of others there. Our TV is model ATV60UHD-0918. Can anyone recommend what manufacturer we should try?

Hi @awmitchell 

The Chromecast makes use of the CEC protocol.
When I looked up your TV's manual it shows it has CEC.

Please try enabling CEC on your TV on the Chromecast HDMI port. 😊

Thanks @RXShorty, we've already got that set up. The only thing that's not working is the volume buttons and I was *really* hoping to just be able to use the google tv remote. Sorry for neglecting to mention CEC when I posted. Thank you so much for going to the effort of looking up our TV manual and finding something that was so helpful - it's grreat to be reminded once again of the kindness of strangers on the internet!

The only thing I can think off is trying the setup again. https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/10094150?hl=en#remote-button-setup

If that doesn't work I am afraid it is not going to work. 🙄

awmitchell, I'm afraid we don't have a list of brands to recommend that you can use in replace of your TV brand to set up the Voice Remote buttons. However, you may try to choose a different brand from the list, which in your view has the same country of manufacture as the TV. You may also search for TV remote codes online and see if any other brand matches the same code as Bauhn, and select that other brand instead. But, please take note that this step may or may not work.
