Google TV with Chromecast is not letting me download apps (Stan, Disney) - apps are not compatible w

This Chromecast with google tv is not letting me download supported apps (Stan, Disney) and says app is not compatible with device. I have reset the Chromecast twice, it’s updated to latest firmware, and Netflix and prime are working. But Stan and Fisney are not.

Where are you located? And did you reach out to the app publishers?
It looks like it is a geolocation restriction. 🙂

I’m in Australia. And are you suggesting I reach out to app publishers for Disney and Stan? I would imagine these major platforms would have tested compatibility with this kind of, relatively new, chromecast device.

Both these services work on my other TV.
One possible reason that comes to mind is that my accounts with these two services are not linked to my gmail account. But then again, not even getting to the point where I enter account details
within one of these, “un-downloadable on my Chromecast” device.

Also, is there any way for me to pick a location with in google tv?

Problem still persists. I can not download established apps like Disney+ on my new Chromecast with google tv 4K. Have tried clearing data/cache for the google play store and google play services. Very disappointed with this google product as I’ve always been a huge google devices proponent.

Umurtaza, I'm sorry to hear that you're still having an issue installing the apps on your Chromecast with Google TV (4K). Could you please check if there's a payment profile attached to your Google Account? If there is, delete it and try to check if you will be able to download your desired apps.

Hey Jennifer,

Haven’t had a chance to try the last recommended fix (delete payment profile).

Will respond with an outcome when life gives me a chance to act on this. Appreciate the help.
