Google nest gen2 wont start video on chromecast.

Hello,

 

I just got my chromecast gen 2 and installed it on my samsung tv.

Ive got a nest hub gen2 in my kitchen and it lets me start youtube with voice commands and its possivle to cast from the hub to the tv.

BUT when i tell the hub to play a specifik video on the tv it doesnt let me, it says something went wrong, anyone esse who has this problem?? Ive rebooted both items but still same problem.

 

And nezt problem is i cant use voice command on my chromecast remote it says my profile is not ready for it, but i have accepted all voice controlls.🤯🤯🤯🤯

Hi Jennifer,

I rebooted all google devices and made new seperate wifi with only 2,4ghz and booted up the nest hub and chromecast and now it works 👍👍

Hi Oric35,

 

Thanks for posting. Could you please confirm which Chromecast device you have as the Chromecast 2nd gen doesn't come with a Voice Remote? In the meantime, if you have the Chromecast with Google TV and you're having an issue doing a voice command, please retrain your Google Assistant to recognize your voice via Voice match. If the issue persists, factory reset the devices and command your Nest Hub to sync your devices.

I have the white one with 4k resolution. This one:

I have retrained the voice match on all my devices, and I dont have google tv its a samsung tv. And all my devices are comnected.

 

I tried to restore rhe chromecast but it didint help. I dont kbow what to do everything else works but the vommand to put on a specifik video on chromecast.

It leta me Open youtube on the tv and it leta me cast videos from the hub to tv but when i tell it to play a spicifik video on tv it reads the command then it says something went wrong..🤯

Hey there,

 

Thanks for the additional information. Are you using a private home network? Could you please check if the same issue persists when casting Netflix videos via voice command? Also, try to turn off/on the CEC option on your TV settings.
