I see another locked post about the green dot at the top right on the screen all the time. I have this also.
Any idea what is causing this to never go away? Very annoying. No microphone request or video, so is it listening or videoing as indicated by the dot or is it a fault?

Thanks for your reply Jeran. I am using a Chromecast with Google TV and it is quite new. The removal of the battery and replace made no difference when I tried it. Turning the Chromecast ... of and back on made no difference, however unplugging the power from the Chromecast unit and reconnecting it corrected the problem. Seems to be a soft or firmware bug.

Hey there Warren_H,
It looks like that old thread didn't have much troubleshooting in it, so I'd be happy to help you out. Just to double-check, are you using a Chromecast with Google TV? If so, go ahead and remove the batteries from your Chromecast Voice Remote to see if the dot disappears. That would indicate that the remote's assistant button is stuck or has debris in it. If that doesn't help, go ahead and factory reset the Chromecast, as that worked for another user in the thread.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.
Best regards,
Jeran

Hey there Warren_H,
That's good to hear that unplugging it corrected the issue! I know it's been a few days, so has the dot returned at all? I want to make sure before I mark this as resolved.
Best regards,
Jeran
