Maybe you don't want to hide the Chromecast device behind the TV, where it may be difficult to reach or you may experience WiFi signal screening, and, therefore, you can use a HDMI cable extender or a HDMI switch.

Update your TV software, if available.

Update you Chromecast device software, if available.

Alternatively, connect the Chromecast device to another TV HDMI input port and observe behaviour. If it work well, you know that the problem is with your current TV software of hardware.

Before proceeding to other steps, try the following:

  • force stop the applications in question and verify the behaviour
  • clear the cache of the applications in question and verify the behaviour
  • reinstall the applications
