Recently set up Android Boxes for my Dad's TVs. I have signed out of the boxes and logged into them with his Google account. However, I still see these cast devices in my Home app and can't remove them. There is no option to remove or delete them. Why does this have to be so hard? I don't want to see them I should be able to delete them, end of story.

The Chromecast protocol is designed to be visible to all devices on the LAN.  I don't think there is any way to hide the Chromecast devices, other than splitting the network.  (If your router supports it, you could try setting up VLANs.)
