Hitting the back or home button goes to "for you."

Good morning, I've got a google chromecast. I'm using the chromecast remote. When, I'm watching TV and hit the back or home button the program guide goes to the last channel i was watching but then jumps to  "for you" and the channel guide goes back to the first channel on the guide. I'd like the channel guide to go back to the last channel I was watching and stay there. Any suggestions?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should. Try the steps below and let me know how it goes.

1. Remove and replace the batteries on your Chromecast Voice Remote.
2. Unplug the USB-C connection from the Chromecast device to disconnect it from the power source. Leave the device unplugged for one minute, then plug it back in.
3. Reset your Chromecast Voice Remote.

Still not working,  this is really frustrating,  I'm ready to chuck the whole setup in the garbage.

Yes, I've tried everything its still doing the same thing. It's a pain.
