I originally got the google chromecast and loved all the voice features but my partner didnt like not having a remote so I immediately upgraded but now when I tell it to play something from hulu instead of just playing, like the chromecast 3rd generation, it just takes me to the series page on hulu and doesnt actually play anything. Same thing with Netflix but Netflix has the built in auto play so the menu disappears after awhile. Why is the superior product actually inferior? Help?!
Hey @Chacha1984, I just asked one of my speakers and I also used the remote to watch a program that's on Hulu. It opened the splash page for the app but I needed to choose the episode. So it's working as intended.
You can leave feedback if you'd like to request that feature by choosing your profile pic on the home page and going to settings. At the bottom of the list is an option to leave feedback either by typing or the voice remote.
